7th European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering

The European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) organised the ECCOMAS Congress 2016 (VII European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering) and was held in Crete, Greece in June 5-10, 2016.

The congress was specially designed to involve exchange of ideas between scientists and engineers from both academia and the industry. The congress covered topics from wide range of areas including flow problems, discretization methods, mesh and solid generation, High performance computing, Interdisciplinary coupled and contact problems, Multiscale and multiphase flow problems, Numerical simulation methods, optimization and control.

Our developers from RCPE presented their following work in the congress :

Irregular shaped particles for DEM High Performance Algorithms – by Eva Siegmann, Hermann Kureck, Charles Radeke, Gundolf Haase, Johannes Khinast

Coupled CFD/DEM Multiphase Simulation of a bottom-spray Wurster Coater using a hybrid CPU/GPU Approach – by E. Siegmann, M. Zadravec, C. Radeke, J.G. Khinast

Scale Down of a Production Scale Tablet Coating Process Using the Discrete Element Method – by P. Böhling, M. Metzger, B. Ricart, P. Rajniak, J.G. Khinast
